“James beard nominee for a reason, this place is the definition of flavor. Not just because all of their dishes come with a little kick, but because of the passion and creativity you sense right when you walk through the front door. Every cocktail curated to perfection, and every flavor bigger than the last, they know what they’re doing. The sticky ribs are famous and the thrice cooked sweet potatoes are live changing. No matter how full you are you have to get the coconut milk or super man ice cream, trust. The moment you leave this mothership you’ll find yourself craving it all over again, in the best way possible. Sadly they are currently under renovation from loss during a fire, but I know they’ll come back better than ever and land their mothership with a bang.”

parks and rec diner which is their breakfast and brunch concept, and always has a wait out the door, but is definitely worth it. My favorite thing about republic is the unique cooking methods they use to magically enhance simple ingredients. To date, the whole smoked trout, beet hummus, and pastrami salmon are my faves, but that could all change with the next menu. I don’t usually like surprises, but this restaurant is an exception.”
“This is the spot you bring people to entertain. The lively atmosphere at all hours (yes they have a DJ during brunch) is something worth celebrating. The beautiful open atrium brightens any mood and the outdoor patio in the summer is perfect for people watching. Sitting right on campus martius, this is the hot spot for any dayt or nighttime activities.
The food is also amazing- known for their burgers but secretly killing the sushi game, even the pickiest eater can fall in love with any of their menu items. My personal faves are the seared cauliflower steak and Brussel sprouts with a salmon roll, but you gotta balance it out with some truffle fries- they’re addicting!! Hit this place for happy hour or a night on the town and you will find yourself wanting to stay much longer!”
